426) When To Have HSG Done?
If you are not pregnant within 6-12 months following surgery, Dr. Berger will recommend an HSG (hysterosalpingogram). Although HSG testing is the best method available for assessing tubal patency, the results are often inconclusive or inaccurate. Following your HSG, please instruct the radiologist to send a copy of the x-ray films as well as the typed report to Dr. Berger to review.

429) When Should I schedule My TR?
Dr. Berger's tubal reversal patients recommend scheduling your reversal surgery when you can pay in full within 24 hours of scheduling in order to get a $1000 discount from the standard fee. If you can't afford to do that now, then you can open up a pre-pay account with as little as $100. After that you send it what you can when you can. As soon as you have the full amount paid you can schedule and still receive the discounted fee.

431) Reversal Outcome Following Ligation and Resection With Cautery
Many patients who have had ligation/resection with cautery end up with adequate tubal lengths after Dr. Berger performs a tubal reversal and go on to get pregnant and have babies. It may be harder to predict the outcome with this type of procedure, however, since some doctors seem to apply a lot of cauterization, and others just a small amount. For anyone concerned about overall tubal length and outcome following surgery, we offer the option to begin with a screening laparoscopy so that Dr. Berger can assess the tubes.
