1) Tubal Reversal With No Worries
Tubal Reversal Message Board Members report their quick recovery after tubal reversal at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center. They reassure those planning for future tubal ligation reversal that their experience and care from the staff at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center will be "AWESOME". Although everyone recovers at a different pace, many patients resume their normal activities within a week. Our tubal reversal doctors, Dr. Gary Berger and Dr. Charles Monteith, as well as the entire staff at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center appreciate the fact that couples trust their fertility to them and want the best tubal reversal outcome that has been documented by medical studies.

2) An Update on My Tubal Reversal Baby
Jo, a member of the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center Message Board, is proud to share a picture of her six-week-old tubal reversal baby, Jace, in his "Berger Baby" t-shirt. Jo is "crazy in love with her little man" and is grateful to Dr. Berger for the ability to have a child again. Other message board members and Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center staff share in her happiness and thank her for keeping them posted about Jace's progress.

3) New to the Tubal Reversal Message Board
A new member of the Tubal Reversal Message Board, 'Buggie' asks about the abbreviations that are used on the board, posting this message - "Hello ladies, I had my TR on 12-01-08. And I'm looking to learn as much info as I can so I can have a bundle of joy. Would someone please explain the abbreviations DH and others so I will better understand. I think it means husband." Other message board members and Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center staff respond with welcoming messages and information. The Tubal Reversal Message Board allows women before, during, and after reversal of tubal ligation to establish contacts and new friendships and exchange information with other women with the same concerns and interests.

4) Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) after Tubal Ligation Reversal
On the Tubal Reversal Message Board, Kenna posts, "Ok ladies, I am having an HSG on the 5th. I want to know who out there has had one and what the results and conclusions were afterwards! I am 8 months out and counting! We are all in this together. I would love to know how many months you waited before going in for the test and why you wanted to have it?" Other women respond with their experiences. Jennifer K. posts, "I had mine at about 6 months post TR - I did not want to waste time TTC only to find out my tubes were blocked. Also, my insurance covered it so I saw no reason to wait. Both my tubes were open. We got our first BFP 3 months later. As for the HSG itself, there was some mild cramping both during and after but a couple of Tylenoltook care of that." Dr. Berger recommends that most patients wait for a year after tubal ligation reversal before having an HSG, but if advanced age is a factor, an HSG can be performed sooner. In all cases, Dr. Berger will review the HSG films to compare with the findings noted during the tubal reversal operation since this is the most accurate way to interpret the HSG results.

5) Laparoscopy before Tubal Reversal - Yes or No?
Tubal Reversal Message Board member 'BabyBoyer' posts, "I sent my operative report to Dr. Berger which he reviewed. He is suggesting that I do a laparoscopy prior to the actual surgery to see if he can do the tubal reversal or not. I would love to hear from others who've had this done." Other members respond based on their experiences at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center. 'Ismagirl' posts, "If your goal is to have a TR, then you should do it. Dr. Berger is the best. If he feels that it is needed then go for it. What Dr. Berger can do with the worst of cases is amazing and worth every penny. if you continue to read these blogs, you will see that many ladies were told it was impossible and some now have their TR babies." Another member responds, "It must be hard to make a choice like that. I would be thinking the doctor is trying to sell me something if I hadn't already met him. I truly believe that if Dr. Berger is suggesting it, you should do it! It may cost you more in the beginning, but if he can't do the TR, you'll get money back. If he read the report and is not sure he can perform the TR, I would trust his judgment. I'd rather have a doctor say that he's not sure than make you empty promises!!"
