260) Tubal Reversal Surgery Is The Best Option For Restoring Fertility After A Tubal Ligation
A member of the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Message Board seeks input from fellow board members after receiving discouraging information from a nurse regarding tubal reversal surgery and whether the reversal would be as successful as IVF. Across all ages of women, Dr. Gary Berger's results with tubal reversal surgery led to higher numbers of pregnancies and live births than standard IVF procedures. Besides having higher success rates, the tubal reversal procedure is less than half the cost of an IVF cycle. According to The Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, current pregnancy rates for IVF are approximately 27% per attempt and the cost was in excess of $10,000. Compare this to reversal surgery at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center where pregnancy rates average 70% and the cost is $5400 - $5900.
